Big flurry and Chisko comes out on top. Meeks goes down 1-3 but actually looked pretty good. Chisko is going to make some noise this year.

Scoreless first period at 149. Briceno got in deep early but it ended on a stalemate. Then Mastriani got in deep twice but Briceno was able to fight them off. Briceno defers and will be on top to start the 2nd.

Briceno down 3-0 after the second. Mastriani got out and then Briceno got in very deep on a single but Mastriani was able to stretch him out and hook a leg to come around for the score. Briceno down to start the third. RT not a factor yet but he'll need to get out quick.

Mastriani wins it 6-2. Briceno was competitive but not able to finish. ISU down 9-3 after four matches.

Brascetta is just super technically sound. He's up 3-8 over Breitenbach after the first period.

Also just want to say I really like these refs. They're consistent with their calls, aren't afraid to call stalling early, and are communicating well with the wrestlers to make sure they know what the situation is.

Bretienbach down 3-10 after the second. Really 3-11 because Brascetta has 2:31 of RT racked up. Breitenbach is outclassed here but fighting hard to avoid giving up the fall. He's down to start the third.

Breitenbach loses 6-17 to #3 Brascetta. ISU down 3-13 at the halfway point.

Weatherman looks good at 165. Lanky, but not sucked down.

Weatherman up 1-0 after two. RT not a factor at all. Both guys took some shots in the second but neither guy got in deep enough to come close to a score. McFadden down to start the third.

Weatherman gives up a reversal but gets right out. Tied up 2-2 with 1:30 left.

Wow. Weatherman gets upset. He goes down 3-4 to true freshman McFadden after he's unable to score after the escape with McFadden backing up but doing enough to not get a stalling call. ISU down 3-16 after six matches.

Weatherspoon down 1-2 after the first period. He got the escape late to avoid a ride out. RT not a factor, Weatherspoon on top to start the 2nd.

Weatherspoon in super deep on a single but Epperly is able to whizzer and hold on and eventually almost counter. Weatherspoon down 1-3 going in to the third. no riding time. Spoon takes bottom.

Spoon almost gets out with a granby but Epperly is able to hold on and recover. Spoon goes down 4-1. ISU down 3-19 with three matches left.

No Gabel at 184 for VT. Zach Zavatsky takes the mat for them. I don't know anything about him.
