I bet his wardrobe consists of 7 faded hawkeye shirts, and 1 UNI shirt that he got for free 7 years ago.

Reminds me of the thing UNI Athletics did where students could turn in their shirts of other college teams and get a UNI one in return

As a UNI alum, I love Gary Rima. He's passionate about the University and UNI is fortunate to have him. As a Cyclone fan, I think he's over stepping his bounds, but that is also the business he's in. Rima's trying to get clicks and tweets about UNI which is great.
He's like a little old dog that chewed your pillow.. Pat him on the head and tell him to go to his kennel..
Maybe he likes his own smells too.

They are the greatest defensive team in the nation. Their backups and first year players would blow us out.

Back to non-UNI-board reality, I know Tuttle graduates but unsure otherwise. Still, a team that good should dominate for many many years over any team, when you're that unbeatable it doesn't matter who you bring back.

They give up a little more than 50 points a game because they do not score that much.

What is your point? Why are you mentioning stats that are a decade old? Why do I care how ISU and UNI did is say 2006? How does that relate to now?

You know you're a loser when you include CIT appearances. I bet it's a thrill to fill out that bracket.

Ben Jacobsen was better than McDoormat.

I wish we played UNI every year just so we could get back on top of the win column fast against them.

Why would you start from 2004? Of course that will even up statistically. Do another one since fred has been here

To be generous to UNI, since the year before Hoiberg was hired and UNI's peak in their program's history.

NCAA tournament appearances:

ISU-3
UNI-1

NCAA tourney wins:

ISU-4
UNI-2

Head to head

UNI is 2-0 at McLeod, ISU is 0-2 in Hilton(including McDoormatt's last year), and 1-0 at Wells Fargo. (The losses in Hilton and the 2nd loss at McLeod are obviously two of the more embarrassing moments in the Fred Hoiberg era)

Really it should be 1-3(2 road losses one home loss) head to head Hoiberg vs Jacobsen, 3 NCAAs to 0, and 4 NCAA wins to 0 going from Hoiberg's first year.

It's literally the only starting point in college basketball history where you could compare UNI favorably to ISU. Right after ISU's best teams ever and when UNI was garbage.

And even then including NIT and CIT invites as "post season appearances"

1. Why focus on the time frame of ISU's only total failure coach in the past three decades?

2. What is a CIT?

I can't stand the UNIs and Boise States for this very reason. 1 cycle through the Big XII is tougher than many conferences can claim in an entire season. I love that we actually have to play quality teams on a nightly basis. I just wish they were all in Hilton.

The joke that all Panther fans are Hawk fans needs to end, there are a lot of UNI fans that are ISU fans too and there are more and more ISU fans on that campus every year.
