I hate talking about UNI on here, but I have to call this guy out. Gary Rima, the voice of the UNI Panthers (KABOOM) tweeted that UNI would have won @KU and @OU. They're drinking the koolaid after beating all those top 200 RPI teams.

I don't know anything about this guy other than he's a joke.

I don't think Division 3 schools (jimlad) should be allowed in the top 25. Once you get there after having 1 decent win, against a bad Iowa team, it's easy to keep moving up because you're playing crap teams. Next thing you know you have a fraud of a team in the top 10 because they just beat Illinois State. Please.

End the series, unless UNI wants to play at Hilton.

They can book nonconference games on the road against KU and OU instead of playing them in their 4k palace. Gary is the Sports Guy who knows it all.

Wichita State is 0-3 or 0-2 in games against good teams depending on who you call good.
UNI is 2-1 or 1-1 in games against good teams depending on who you call good.

Does either team have a single good road win? Zero.

Teams from mid-majors who get hyped in the regular season...not as good a track record as the cinderella teams that come out of nowhere.

This is why people hate when UNI sees any level of success. That's an asinine assertion to make.

I think he said he'd like to see them at home. Used #unbeatenathome or something. But I'm bad at deciphering Twitter so maybe not.

Someone else threw out Kansas, he was saying OU and ISU at home but again that's just what I think it means.

What a Maroon (if he said that)! Regardless of how good (or bad) ISU may be, that statement is preposterous about the MVC Purple Kitty-Hawks.

Where did he tweet that? This is the only tweet I found where he even mentioned OU and I think he was saying he wouldn't want to play either team last night.

Gary Rima @oprsportsguy · 16h 16 hours ago "@ChipFlory: @oprsportsguy How'd u like 2 be playing either one of these teams tonite? #IdorespectthePanthers! #Cyclones #Sooners" #Idloveit

If that's it, it's not saying they'd win @KU or @OU.

But there's nothing they can do about it, they will never have a schedule remotely like a Big 12 team does in Jan-Feb. Not losing to the Evansvilles is probably the only way they can really prove themselves. They'll never be able to prove they can go 8-0 vs top 40rpi teams on the road in conference (I don't think Kentucky even could if they played in that deep a league with round robin), but they can show they are more consistent against bad teams.

Go to twitter and click on the tweet that reads:

"This year UNI would win...both...etc..."

Then you'll get the full conversation.
