Lipsey>>>>Hunter

Overall just a better PG. hands down.

I never mind bumping this thread since he transferred in conference and claimed it was about getting to NBA and not about money (ISU basically has 3 NBA point guards right now including a first team guy). It's hard to look at Hunter's numbers and not see regression year to year.

For those who believe in advanced stats:

Tamin Lipsey PER by year:
16.1
27.5

Hunter PER by year:
14.1
11.7
13.5

All the other advanced metrics are pretty similar overwhelmingly in Tamin's favor. They can both D up, but Tamin is just a wildly better offensive player and even a better rebounder which we thought was a Hunter strength at the time.

As horribly/rarely as Tamin shot the 3 his freshman year, he's already the better career 3pt shooter now. Hunter is 9 for 32 this year and our guy is 17 of 40. It's not even close.

Tyrese Hunter is still a bum, have fun playing on a bubble team.

Want to compare Hunter and Tamin?

Hunter - 11.8 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 4.2 apg, 1 spg, 2.9 turnovers per game, 48% FG, 28% 3PT

Tamin - 15.5 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 6.0 apg, 3.5 spg, 2.5 turnovers per game, 49% FG, 45% 3PT

Thank you for leaving, Tyrese so we could get this version of Tamin.

For sure, after watching both of them the last year and a half it's clear Lipsey is the better player.

Hunter was a good defender and rebounder for his position...Lipsey is somehow WAY better at even those areas of strength.

With the massive outside shooting improvement and Hunter never becoming a shooter himself it's not even a close comparison anymore.
