Overall just a better PG. hands down.
I never mind bumping this thread since he transferred in conference and claimed it was about getting to NBA and not about money (ISU basically has 3 NBA point guards right now including a first team guy). It's hard to look at Hunter's numbers and not see regression year to year.
For those who believe in advanced stats:
Tamin Lipsey PER by year:
16.1
27.5
Hunter PER by year:
14.1
11.7
13.5
All the other advanced metrics are pretty similar overwhelmingly in Tamin's favor. They can both D up, but Tamin is just a wildly better offensive player and even a better rebounder which we thought was a Hunter strength at the time.
As horribly/rarely as Tamin shot the 3 his freshman year, he's already the better career 3pt shooter now. Hunter is 9 for 32 this year and our guy is 17 of 40. It's not even close.
