Mariners won't be able to get too greedy. I think Lee is a free agent at the end of the season. Some teams will shy away due to that.....or at the very least will limit what they offer. If the Twins do in fact make an offer, my guess is that it will include Wilson Ramos, Blackburn/Baker/Slowey (one of them) and one or two other prospects.

What would they be giving up?

Seattle supposedly wants hitting and a starter in return. I'm guessing a package along the line of Blackburn, Ramos, and one of the AA OF's - either Benson or Revere. All of these are replaceable from within the Twins system and the Twins like the idea of letting Lee go after the season and picking up the compensating draft picks in return.

Nah, they can still get greedy. If they in fact dealt him now instead of waiting until the deadline, they may well have gotten quite a haul.

Would be completely out of character for the Twins to give up that much for a guy that is gone at season's end.

KSTP (AM) ESPN out of the twin cities says no deal is done yet.

Seattle wants 2 prospects along with the rumored 2 MLB'ers.
Not sure who they are talking about...just passing along what they are sayin'.
