I think that'd be fun to do. I wouldn't really enjoy the ice cold water though. Maybe do it in the summer when the water is warmer then I'd be down with it.

The fire run would be tough. I could probably take the heat ok, but the smoke inhalation migh suck a little on top of all of the running you did before hand. Not sure the ole lungs could take it.

I honestly think I could do most of it. I've ran through freezing cold water (thanks to the 8" of snow before LHF my senior year of HS...creek water up to my armpits) and love the feeling the water gives. I think I'd be screwed on the ropes though

Funny. You don't seem that tough.

Maybe you're thinking it's an Internet Tough Guy Challenge?

I kinda like the feel of the icey cold water too. When I was playing pro ball my roomate used to take an ice bath every other week to recharge his batteries so I tried it... It definately helps, especially after 21 games without a day off...

Ice baths suck as soon as you get in, but dang they feel good after about a minute and you've lost feeling. I thought my track coach was nuts telling us to sit in as cold of water as we could stand every week or so after a hard workout, but it paid off the next day.

I do that in my bathtub with ice every once in a while. Especially on those evenings after i've run a lot and hard, and I can tell that my calves and quads will be aching the next morning. Really under-utilized
