This has been talked about Ankeny for a while nowFrom source:
Albaugh is looking at building two 18-hole courses South of Ankeny Costco.
Pre-covid was such a beautiful time to be a golfer. It swear the popularity of golf seemed to peak like 9-10 years ago, and was declining a bit. Then when covid happened it seemed to take off again. The courses around the metro have been stupid busy. Along with the population increase, we can probably handle another course or two. What was the last new course to open around Des Moines? Copper Creek like 25 years ago?
sure. i like green space. is it being built in that same area east of I-35 and around NE 36th St?I guess another one might be in the works.

Not sure the city would say no to this person...I thought the city shutdown the idea of the golf course. Could be wrong though.
