From the same King book (Different Seasons):

Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption
The Body (Stand By Me)
Apt Pupil
(movie with Brad Renfro about a teenager who recognizes an ex-Nazi living in his neightborhood - not a bad film, actually)
The Breathing Method (which IMHO would make an excellent, creepy film)

It has been a while since I've read that book, but I did enjoy the stories in it. What I do remember most about it, probably because of my enjoyment of Stand By Me, is that the ending to The Body is not such a "happy" ending as the movie was. It was kind of a "oh wow" moment as I was reading it.

King's heroes are always flawed, and generally struggle with doing the right thing. But there is always a moral center, too, despite all the grimness and ugly things.

I'm confused on this one. The Lego Movie came out like 20-30 years after the others.
I like animated movies.. OK! She's shaming an adult male for liking kids movies!! :p

Also, if you haven't seen the Lego Movie it's hilarious. It's probably better for me because I worked with a guy who IS Emmet. Profession, attitude, everything.

I always have a hard time selecting lists like this as all good movies have their place and it's hard to narrow out the best.
Here are some I enjoyed as a child and watched repeatedly.

The Emperors New Groove. My grandma gave this to me for my birthday shortly before she passed away so that adds some value to me.

The Sandlot (my parents recorded this off the tv and they had cut out the scene at the fair when they all try chewing tobacco and vomit everywhere. I didnt know that scene existed until I was in college.)

Toy Story

Blank Check (I rewatched this recently and it's really not as good as I remembered it to be) Also, a movie my parents recorded off the tv.

Angel's in the Outfield

I recall really liking the Land Before Time movies when I was little, but dont remember anything about them as an adult other than they were about kid dinosaurs.

Every version of Lady Chaterlee's Lover on skinamax squinting through the pixelated stream as my hormones threw me for a whirl.

ET (saw in theatre and everybody clapped and cheered when ET came back to life).
Ghostbusters
Goonies
Lonesome Dove (watched mini series on CBS with parents. Awesome Western.)
Indiana Jones Trilogy (crystal skull doesn't count IMO).

Star Wars Trilogy comes in at a close 6th.

“I’d like to see the herd you and Jake could round up, a herd of whores...maybe”. Capt Woodrow F. Call

“The only chance that boy has at an education is listening to me talk”

“What kind of education is that?”
