I felt Floyd always had the best game plans. He had the rare ability of a good coach and good recruiter. I like him a lot, but was sorry to see how two years of the job change rumors hurt our program.

Wasn't it an Agent for Mayo that implicated Floyd? Has that guy ever been forced to testify under oath?

"I was so disappointed. In 33 years in this business I have never been accused of giving anybody a dollar. It was absolutely not true and to not have any more support was the most disappointing thing I have ever been through

I would take him back in a heartbeat. Talk about having a chip on his shoulder. He'd kill it.

Me too...not sure if he'd come back but he'll be a head coach again soon. I think ISU fans would accept him back with open arms, not sure about Pollard.

He's so full of it!

If I was called a cheater and I wasn't, I would not just walk away with people thinking I cheated. His reasoning is laughable. Betrayed? You were the one giving the money to recruits

Let's play "What If"......

What if Floyd was our coach and recruiting that prospect at Ames High School

If he were proven guilty, USC would have received sanctions by now. I bend towards giving Tim the benefit of a doubt, before giving credibility to some scorned O.J. Mayo associate.

Oh you mean like the Dwayne Jarrett situation or the Reggie Bush situation? The NCAA doesn't give sanctions to USC it appears even though there is tons of proof showing that they broke rules.

Floyd cheated. There is no question about that. He wouldn't have quit and let his good name be tarnished unless it was true. He would have stayed and fought the truth

Floyd seems to have a habit of not talking to athletic directors after a while on the job. Gene Smith and Floyd were not on speaking terms at all his last couple years at ISU.

Floyd sure has friends in the media. That said, I would still take him back replacing our current dude.

Football players. NCAA gives 2 hoots about USC BB, UCLA is the cash cow for BB in the LA market.

I'd take Floyd back in a heartbeat if he would come and there wouldn't be sanctions against him for the Mayo thing as soon as he was hired. With our luck, we would be suspended for 4 years from post season play due to the USC thing. Then again, we should be used to 4 years of no post season play by now...

Waa. I don't feel bad for him after the way he left here for the Bulls. I'd still take him back in a second though. Is that wrong.?.
