So did they find sophia as a zombie and put her in there, or did she take refuge in the zombie barn?

Well that was pretty ******* intense!

I think the twist that they're going to use is that while the majority of the group was killing out of lack of emotion toward the walkers, Rick was the only one that manned up to kill Sophia BECAUSE of his emotion, or more, to put her out of her pain and suffering.

This...I think this shows Rick as the true 'man' and leader of this group. This hit home for the group and he did what needed to be done. I thought this was also big for the farmer group to see Rick and company to put down one of their own.

The ending to that scene was the best segment in weeks. You knew when she walked out the only one to man up would be Rick. Show has been dragging and it was getting to where I didn't like or care about any of the characters except Glen and Daryl.

Exactly. Now they know that it's not all about being ruthless killers (in Rick and Glen's case, anyway). They'll know think that it's all about protecting what is there.

I'll admit the ending was intense and great tv...but that pisses me off. Was REALLY not wanting them to kill/find Sophia a zombie. For one my daughters name is Sophia so that doesn't help. But really my favorite part of the show is when they find humanity in all the chaos. Was really hoping they'd find Sophia alive and that Daryl would be the man to find her. It's just sad...

Also, looks like in the previews Daryl goes crazy and attacks the group...not good.

He has a lot invested in finding Sophia, I think it probably cracks him a bit.

After re-watching that last scene, even Andrea seemed freaked out by Shane's tirade. I think Daryl was the only one that seemed down with it all.

If anybody is interested The Talking Dead is on now and Daryl is going to be in studio after the break.

I see your point, but you can't have happy feelgood endings all the time on a show like this. I like the gutchecks this show provides, and tonight was a hell of a gutcheck.

Watching Talking Dead now. A lot is being confirmed. Sophia was already a zombie when Otis caught her and took her to the barn. They also talked about how Rick being the one to shoot Sophia was like him re-affirming that although Shane goes around beating his chest saying he's the real leader, Rick is truly the only one that can take charge when difficult decisions have to be made. Usually I think the Talking Dead is stupid, but this episode has been pretty informing to me.

The group is to lax. There needs to be a bigger zombie threat. I know they keep watch, but they don't seem scared or tense. I feel like if I was in such a situation, I'd be terrified, paranoid, what have you. Perhaps I just want more flash backs to when it all started...kind of like a few episodes back when you saw Atlanta being bombed.

If I was in that situation out on a remote farm, I would be more worried about the living finding the farm instead of the dead.

Youre not going to be swarmed very often on a remote farm. Think of the current population density, you're not going to be running into a lot of people out there. Just isolated zombies that happen to wander by.
