How's that? I haven't really gotten too worked up over this. I think ISU will land in the Big East if all comes tumbling down and that could be a good thing long term.
I have no idea how this thing shakes out, but it's pretty entertaining to read about.
I just find it funny how many posters, read through thousands of posts and then act like they are above the speculation.
I am not above the speculation nor am I on a high horse, but I have seen misinformation and biased opinion spread like a virus. And the problem is it sometimes influences decisions. i.e. perception becomes reality. It can be dangerous.
I posted this on CR yesterday when someone took an opinion article and concluded that the Big 12 is dead:
Here is how I approach this whole thing:
1. Don't believe anything that an A&M source or fan says about the Big 12. Their view is biased.
2. Trust Missouri's administration over their fan base and media. Their fans want out, but their administration is saying EXACTLY the opposite.
3. Don't overreact to any opinion articles predicting the Big 12's demise. Most of those people have an agenda and are biased. The rest are just following the crowd.
4. Learn which message board posters are reliable and put more faith in their posts than others.
All of these has led me to believe the following:
1. A&M is gone, but rest will stay.
2. BYU will be replace them.
3. ND will be AGGRESSIVELY pursued, but I have NO IDEA whether they will join or not. Anyone who says that we have no chance of landing them is just as naive as anyone who says the are definitely coming.
4. Everything else is just opinions.
