Hopefully the temp tonight doesnt cause a hard freeze. I prefer to do all of my slow-pitch softball shopping locally. Organically grown balls are way better.

I'm trying to plan a summer tourney. When you do guys see the price of softballs going back down?
The price will never come back down! When will you fools realize we've hit peak softball production! You could try getting them from countries, like mexico, who price fixes the cost of softballs by subsidizing them.

I would suggest buying a hybrid softball. It costs more up front, but it pays off if you plan on keeping your balls for a long time.

DAMN IT! I ALREADY SAID THAT WILL ONLY DELAY WHAT IS HAPPENING, NOT FIX IT!

Here we go, you hippies just cant get enough of your organic balls. As a producer I can assure you that there is nothing harmful in our non organic balls. In fact I would be leary of organic balls more so than non organic. The USDSB sets the rules and we follow them.

Oh and, pink ball slime.

Interesting, does that cause Mad Softball-Guy disease?

I'm too lazy to read through all 5 pages but I buy the .44/375 Evil ball by the case online for around $60 a dozen plus shipping which comes out to just over $5 a ball. Some of the sites the more you buy the less they cost per ball because the shipping charge for 2 or 3 cases is actually less per case than if you just ordered 1 case.

Also, Scheels will cut you a deal if you buy a dozen, I think it's 10% off the price if you ask about buying a case.

No one has mentioned the stichonium-ore mining disaster which has reduced the availability of the essential nutrient Stichonium, which in turn has driven fertilizer prices through the roof. Additionally equatorial production has been significantly reduced by young baseball players steeling the immature fruit.

Pretty sure the price of the pink slime filled fertilizered balls wont be paid by us, but by our children and our children's children. Do you really want to have eco damaging slow pitch balls filling our earth?

You would think that ISUAgronomist would have remembered the debacle that was the 09' USSSA Slow Pitch worlds that brought awareness to the serious issues of slow pitch softball doping, as well as the sketchy mining practices and DDT fields where they are grown and fought to determine whcih should be used for future breeding. Remember the 60 minutes clip where they went undercover and taped the drowning of the losers?

Is this really what we want our world to come to?

The solution is organic slow-pitch softballs ---- USDA certified! But remember they are not of higher nutritional quality or any safer at all.
