I haven't had it before but doesn't Olde Main have a root beer? There hasn't been a beer from olde main I haven't liked, and in general I really don't like draught's but Olde Main's in delicious. Back on point, if their root beer is as good as their beer, I think that would be my favorite.
Also to stay on point (slightly) the best root beer I've personally had would be a tie between Sioux City Sarsaparilla and IBC Root Beer, we serve it at the coffee shop where I work and it's great.
Iowa State Fair root beer stands.
Red Monkey is god awful and doesn't even taste like root beer, I can't believe so many people like it.
Barq's is my favorite in terms of generic, but A&W is good, especially if you're in the mood for a creamier taste.
Aren't those A&W? They used to be. 50 cents for a small and $1 for a large. Ahh, those were the days.

I was in Wisconsin for the weekend, saw Sprecher's at a gas station, bought one bottle. I opened it in my car, took one drink, set it down so I could go back inside and bought 6 more bottles. This stuff is the best ever without a doubt.
Sprecher's is widely available in Iowa.
Sioux City Sarsaparilla = Best!
Say friend you got any more of that good sarsaparilla?
Sioux City Sarsaparilla?
Yeah that's a good one.
I've never actually had it, but if it's good enough for the stranger in The Big Lebowski, then it's good in my book too.
Best root beer no longer available was the root beer on tap from DogNSuds.
1919 is by far and away the best Root Beer out there
