Hawkeye nation basks in their triumph over highly rated Montana. Their 10-9 victory was the biggest blowout in Kinnick Stadium history. Hawkeye fans storm the field and parade the Sears Trophy around Iowa City after their first win in their national championship season.

Iowa comes rolling into the Carrier Dome knowing the outcome isn't going to be pretty. Iowa has Tate trophy candidate Drew Tate at the helm and a surprise addition to their team after Albert Young suffered a season-ending finger contusion. Iowa's surprise addition is none other than an all-rape tailback named Pierre (who got paroled on September 5). In an amazing triumph, Syracuse stops Pierre's penetration on their way to a historic 38-12 stomping on the soon-to-be national champions.
