scanning the tweets & replies of the coach fish is positive for ISU and...not so much...for Illinois:

LOL not even gunna bite on this because my thoughts would be considered sacrilege around these parts....

I don't watch the NBA, but I did a little research while talking with a buddy the other night. Ouch.

The Bulls have now stolen 2 coaches away from Iowa State and for the most part it's been a good thing for us, but it still hurts.

The ironic part is both coaches left to go to a Bulls team that was a complete dumpster fire.

Like I say, I don't watch the NBA...but even I knew that was a horrific job with no potential upside. But Fred got paid.

I'm afraid that he'll be damaged goods in the NBA coaching circles and have to end up back at a college team. Hopefully he'll go to an NBA front office situation, I think that's a good fit for him.

Apparently THT verbally committed to Illinois last night but UI's 5 star recruit said he wouldn't play with THT and gave Illinois the ultimatum that it's either him without THT for UI or he would decommit. Illinois apparently picked the 5 star guy so now all the experts believe he is committing to ISU tonight.

Oooook. So now he wants to go to ISU? He's a beast, but he's not 6'10". Are we sure we want him now that he's "damaged goods"?

All kidding aside, ISU (ALL of ISU - Staff, Team, Fans) want THT. We did yesterday and we will tomorrow (if he chooses to go somewhere else). Should he decide to come to Ames, Iowa State will have one VERY dangerous team!

I was a big Bulls fan until the last year...all I can say is both ISU coaches we've picked up have driven the organization into the ground. Floyd walked into a terrible situation, Fred.....well Fred didn't. Most of the issues with the Bulls can be blamed on horrific management, but I'll say it kindly when I say Fred should have stuck to college because he's a bad NBA coach.

Jamie Pollard needs to get an Iowa State vs Illinois non-conference game on the schedule in a few years!

I would enjoy that, but I doubt they'd agree to it. Hopefully we can schedule somebody in Chicago.
