Taco John's/Taco Bell

I can't believe no one has brought up the inexcusably jacked-up prices at the Ames Taco Bell. I'll still go there to get my fix once in a while but I swear everything on their menu is at least .30-.50 more than a "normal" Taco Bell.

A little piece of me does die inside every time I order a "$2 Meal Deal" for $2.49 in Ames, or their Nacho Burrito advertised at $0.99 comes in at $1.29. That snazzy new building with all the bells and whistles didn't come cheap apparently and they pass it on to the customer :sad:

Speaking of fast food, has anyone tried one of those new drink machines inside Wendy's?? They are freaking sweet. You can create tons of different flavored drinks & it automatically makes it proportionately.

Yeah the Wendy's in Ankeny had one. It has like 150 different drink combinations out of one spicket. It had a touchscreen to pick your drink choice and pours it for you. Very cool!

I think the old location.still charged a little more during my time in Ames. Maybe they were prepping for the new location. My nacho burrito was $1.19 in Altoona.

Nice to see the cheesy fiesta taters getting some love, they give me a little hope that TB will bring back their border fries, they were the bomb. Anyone else old enough to have enjoyed Border Fries?

Taco Bell is sooooo much better than Taco Johns. The main reason I moved into my house on Campus Ave. was to be close to TBell, unfortunately I only had one semester with them.

Bottom line there is only place in the world that has Baja Blast and it ain't Taco Johns.

Show me a drunken night at the bars, and i'll show you a "six pack and a pound" fully consumed by yours truly. (I'm sure other people can do it too, but this was my staple drunk food...along with JJ's).

I don't know why people waste their time at "Toxic Hell" anyway. The new "Doritos Locos Tacos" were kind of disappointing, IMO.

Tasty Taco mmmmmmmmmmmmm good ****, why oh why cant they just open a location in Ames!!!! Do not care for either TJ's or TB, taco time for me in ames or fighting burrito. I will say I have not been to the new location in Ames for TB is it better than the ****** old location?

you can buy a month's worth of food from taco bell for about $4or half a combo meal at taco john's

I want to go to the taco bell you go to! I spend about $6 every time I go to TB for 1 filling meal. (usually a nacho burrito & cheesy fiesta potato like the OP mentioned, & a couple tacos)

My go to at Taco John's is the grilled chicken burrito with potato oles. (obviously with a side of nacho cheese). Think this costs me around $7?

My OP cost $4.31. Naco Burrito, CFPot, Double Decker which is practically 2 tacos.
