There was a rumor he dated Jerri Manthey for a while but I am not sure that turned out to be true.

He did, however, date Vanuatu (Season 9) contestant Julie Berry for two years. No longer together.

Hadn't heard about Jerri but his relationship with Julie was well known. We've had debate on this before but who do you all consider the hottest survivor contestants?

I'd probably say in no particular order Amanda Kimmel, Parvarti Shallow, Angie Layton, Andrea Boehlke, and Danni Boatwright would probably be on most people's lists. I'd have to dig around but I know there are some "showmance" couples that came from the show too. Rob and Amber are the obvious and I see that Joe and Sierra announced the other day they are engaged: https://people.com/tv/survivor-joe-anglim-sierra-dawn-thomas-engaged-proposal/ Sierra was not too hard on the eyes either...

Anyone else feel like Kelly is being fed some stuff off camera? I mean this is the second time I thought she would be dumb not to use that idol. Her name was being thrown all over the place with her knowing it and she still didn't use it. It's like she has way more info than what they are showing us she has. Jeff loves her. You can always tell Jeff Probst favorite players. He calls them by their last name instead of their first.

Though I wouldn't doubt that is possible, I think it's just hard to say with editing (all that has been discussed on here in the past). She may have been involved in several more conversations that made her feel comfortable that we didn't see.

One other thing. Survivor could hire some people from MTV's the Challenge to help them with the contests. Survivor contests are so stale these days. Every single one of them is basically the same thing. Do a small obstacle course, followed by a puzzle. The other version is stand on something really long and hold something while doing it. My daughter and I love contests on these types of shows but we are both just kind of over the survivor stuff. MTV challenge has a bunch of nonsense but they do have some really cool contests we like to watch. Don't care much for the other stuff on that show.

I thought the same thing when I started watching Survivor a few years ago (after not following for several years). I don't keep up with The Challenge anymore, but it seems like a good portion of their contests were male vs male and female vs female or in teams. I think Survivor has to walk the line (particularly after the merge) that makes the playing field more even.

Also - On the comments about the Tribal Council discussions: I disliked them when they first started happening (don't remember when exactly, couple years ago?) but have grown to enjoy them. I had a nice little laugh at one point when somebody said David's name a little too loudly and he responds, "I heard that!" with a big smile on his face.

BTW hearing that Survivor 40 will be an "All Winners" Survivor. They think they have enough former winners that all the tribes will be made up of winners. Which seems pretty easy. Need 18 people. 39 seasons at that point. I think Sandra is the only one to win it twice. So basically you have 38 winners to chose from. I would be down with that for sure. However, I would want the next season to be all new people again.

I guess. I hope after that they get back to all new people.

Interesting. Lets hope half of the winners didn't kick their feet up and would still be entertaining for the athletic competitions! You would imagine a good portion of contestants would be from the recent half of those 39 seasons since we're nearing 20 years from the start of the show, and some weren't spring chickens when they won at that time.

Can’t stand when guys like war dog just make moves to make moves. He has been playing a good game until now. I don’t like him
But I appreciated his game play. Now he just put a huge bullseye on himself and lost a major ally that was sure to be a bigger target than him.

Kelly was a huge target. He could have hid behind her. Now he is a huge threat. He’s gone

I agree, but the more I think about it, he had the numbers now and he probably wouldn’t have that in the future. He sucks at challenges and doesn’t seem to be a threat to find an idol. Nobody seems to like him. I bet he stays around for awhile but he won’t make the final 3 and he wouldn’t have made it regardless of this move or not.

As for Kelly, I was cheering for her but you knew it was coming at some point. I really wish they would show more of the politics this season. I think Lauren goes home next with the idol in her pocket. She really hasn’t done much game play, at least from what we see on tv.

Head scratching thing is she knew things were going to easy. As the only returning player left she also had to know the bullseye on her back. I would rather play an idol and have it wasted than leave with one in my pocket.

Does it ever feel like Probst is asking leading questions. Like "Kelly, everything seems easy this week, does that scare you". That type stuff. It's been known for years in Big Brother that they basically lead the contestants down the path of "This person is going to blindside you and you better do something".

Maybe he just asks everyone stuff like that and that part get's cut. Not sure.

Finally some smart moves by the players left. I liked David but knew his time was coming and he has been hanging tough in a lot of challenges so was smart to get rid of a returning player now. And I was THRILLED they finally wised up and blindsided Wentworth before she used her idol late in the game. She's always annoyed me as she constantly plays the sympathy card about how the numbers are never in her favor and she's always playing the game from behind. She's been that way every season she's played and it annoys the hell out of me because there are 2 ways to avoid being on the wrong side of numbers and alliances: win challenges and make strong alliances! She put herself in those situations so we don't need the sad story about it all the time.

It is funny how no one has chosen to go home after being voted out and only 2 have gone home since being on extinction. Having 4 returning players there now is going to make things interesting if 1 of them wins their way back into the game late in the season. I tend to think Joe or Aubrey have the best chance but until we see the challenge or twist of how that will happen there are several players there that could win their way back into the game.

I'm not a huge fan of Wardog and I disagree about him playing a good game. He's been the 1 dictating a lot of votes and he's horrible at challenges and I think those 2 things will get him voted off. Even if he finds a way to the final 3 I'm not sure what the jury will think of him as there are a lot of people on it he had a hand in voting out that may not think well of him. Starting to think someone like Gavin or even Rick or Ron could weasel their way into the final 3 and have a shot to win with how they are playing right now. I don't think Ron would win, he's not very likable and has been mostly a swing vote lately which the whole playing both sides doesn't usually end well because you never built as relationship or trust with a lot of people on the jury.

Wardog gone last night, was a smart vote as he's been the most strategic player for awhile now. Kind of rooting for Rick Devens to make it to the final 3 now. Guy has really navigated his game well since he was the 1st player back from Extinction and has won immunity at key times. However, that will be his downfall as everyone views him as the biggest threat now. Aurora I keep flipping my views on, one moment she annoys me with her talk then the next she looks impressive in a challenge.

And drama queen Wentworth got a nice gut check on extinction too when Reem basically told her she didn't want to hear her sob story because everyone there has one too and she was a big part of why a lot of them got voted out. Was glad someone let her have it because every season she cries and complains about how hard she has it and things never work out for her. I do find it funny though how Reem keeps hanging around when she knows she has no shot to beat out everyone on extinction when the time comes for the challenge. I'm sure they get paid by the episode but just find it funny why you'd put yourself through a month of living like that when you know it's a longshot you'll be the one to get back into the game.

Looking at final 3, hate to say it but I think Ron weasels his way into 1 of the spots and 2 of Gavin, Julie, and Victoria probably. I just don't see Devens making it without winning out on immunity and Aurora and Lauren seem like they are 2 of the bigger targets left too. Who and when the person from Extinction enters the game could change things up a little too.

I agree and disagree with this. He's done great at surviving (pun intended) since he came back from extinction, but he's also been on the wrong side of the vote multiple times which means to me he's almost just gotten lucky.

Other thoughts:

-Reem is a gem and I love how she just tells it like it is. Not a good player in the game, but so fun for TV. Rob Cesternino's impression of her is gold.

-I've become more of a fan or Aurora because she's a challenge beast but has been able to stay alive thus far.

-Ron is a weasel but has played very well each round. He seems to be the deciding vote most weeks but people haven't caught on to it.

-Victoria has played an extremely well underrated game. She's been able to figure out and be on the right side of the vote each week. Also, she has a huge check mark on her resume with orchestrating the blindside to Aubrey.

Survivor has a few tells I've picked up on. Ron talks about being in charge and found that when someone brings up that word or something similar to it they are soon gone.

Right when he said he was running the game we both said he is gone this episode.

Devens loses me some weeks and gains me some weeks. Love him and then hate him. His act tonight at tribal was great. Made the guy at least feel bad about it.

Aurora is staring to win me over also.

The girl who wears a stalking hat in 90 degree heat at the beach still annoys the ****
Out of me because of that

I'm rooting for Devens and Gavin at this point. I doubt Devens makes it to final 3 without winning out on immunity or finding idols though. The jury likes him I think and last night he played it perfectly both with exposing Ron's deception and playing his idol. Was so glad to see Ron finally go, his cockiness and way he talks to people has been annoying to me for a long time and I don't know why they haven't voted him about before now because he's been that way the whole game. I thought he was going to weasel his way into the final 3 but glad that Gavin and Lauren wised up and voted with Devens to get him out just when he thought he was comfortable and in charge.

Really interested in seeing how that plays out now because you had Devens, Gavin, and Lauren voting together and Julia, Victoria, and Aurora with Ron and from the previews it looks like someone from Extinction could be getting back into the game again too. I go back and forth on Aurora, just when she is on the outs she does well in a challenge and finds a few people to vote with then she does crap like she did last night going through Devens bag and acted kinda snotty when she got caught. I get it, its a game and you want any info and advantage you can get but I've always felt that people on the show who resort to digging through others bags are just dirty players. Gotta have some kind of respect for other's stuff and surely she would have been pissed had she caught Devens going through her stuff. That's just 1 of those unwritten rules of Survivor that I think when a player crosses that line and starts digging through bags it says a lot about their character that they can't play the game without going down that sleazy path.

At this point if the jury voted today here is where people probably stand with the jury favor:

1. Devens
2. Gavin
3. Lauren
4. Victoria
5. Aurora
6. Julia

Which probably means at least 2 of the bottom 3 make it to the final 3 since the top 2 guys they all surely know have the best shot of winning. Whoever comes back from Extinction will sure throw a wrench into things too as they will likely be a prime target to get out right away but a tough competitor at challenges too. I have a hard time reading Victoria and Aurora because the edits make them look like good strategic players but they really haven't formed too many tight friendships with anyone either so I don't know how the jury views their games right now. They have done just enough to be on the right side of votes but Aurora especially has been targeted multiple times for votes and really hasn't been the mastermind behind most of the votes either.
