Dear Big XII,

We've seen enough. Your officials incompetence and blatant bias for and against certain programs is a detriment to the integrity of collegiate athletics. Get your collective heads out of your ***** and fix this.

You guys realize that ref is from Iowa, right?

They may have followed the correct protocol. We don't know, and we don't think so, because it affected our team.

As a suggestion, they could have the replay officials present the evidence they used to make their call. That puts everything on the table, but still doesn't matter, because one side will say it's correct, and the other side says that they got screwed.

On a side note, once we put this one to bed, I hope we can dig into the Big 12's role in the Kennedy assassination. It was in Dallas, after all.......

They use the TV broadcast feeds for the replay. The feeds we saw were absolutely 100% not conclusive evidence of a TD. Your conspiracy theory is the broadcast team had a view that obviously showed it was a TD but they held it from the tv audience for some reason? If they had a conclusive view like the rules state IS REQUIRED TO OVERTURN RULINGS ON THE FIELD the broadcast would have shown it instead of some crazy conspiracy secrecy, even it was later in the second half.

All I want is to see the angles they use to make their decisions. I'm not calling it a screwjob without the explanation, even though my butt is supposed to hurt about this.
They use the same camera angles we see. What you saw on replay is what they based it off of.

Because the 2 (or 3) Iowa institutions have such a stranglehold on athletics there are no fans of out of state teams here.

And yes, it's widely known he's from Pella.

But we don't know what they saw on there to justify. That's where an open process later sounds helpful, even though only one team's fans will believe what they say anyway. The other side was plainly screwed.

C'mon Erik. We saw what they saw. Trust your eyes. Most, not all, but most of the national media says it is very difficult to tell whether or not the ball broke the plane. Even you have to admit that much. By rule, if it is not conclusive the call on the field should stand. Simple as that. Agree with the open process of booth review, though.

You guys are right... I didn't understand you are expert lip readers and there's no possible way he was motioning to the other official approaching him asking if Sweed in fact got the foot down.

My mistake - shouldn't get in the way of a good internet lynch mob.

You may understand perfectly what was happening, but simply stating the ref was from Iowa didn't convey your 2 follow up messages in any way at all.

You know - you're right. I'm just going to walk away for a while. I'm ****** about Saturday as well, but there's just a little too much cardinal colored crazy going on the board today.

The point of this thread was to discuss the opportunity to support Jamie, CPR, and the Team by contacting the Big XII Conference to reiterate Jamie's point of the unaccountability with the current review system.... Don't know what the outcome will be, but at least each of us has the opportunity to support ISU in this manner.

Dear Big12 or 10,

The replay booth should be transparent. Put them on camera as they make their decision.

Not very sincerely,
The Ames Mob

That's the thing though, it's not only ISU fans saying it.

Unless our fan base grew by thousands just for Saturday's game & the Texas game last year. I understand television announcers don't know it all, but it's pretty funny when both calling the game are absolutely shocked when a call gets overturned.

Nice that those guys are ISU fans though, I guess.

Are they saying it, or is it just us now?

Are they saying what is what? I'm sure there are plenty of people with no connection whatsoever to ISU saying they were wrong in overturning the call. I know for a fact there were plenty saying they were wrong after the Texas game. Guess I don't really understand your question..
