I'm not even sure the officials understand what targeting is, and I don't think I do anymore either. Players lower their heads all the time and take shoulder hits to the helmet, and targeting is rarely called. Moya turned his head to avoid helmet on helmet contact, yet gets the call and worse yet, ejected. To me the key thing was he intentionally avoided the helmet to helmet contact, and that was clear on the replay. It's a judgment call and I've seen calls and non-calls that vary wildly, but they should be able to get it right on replay. I taped the game and both tv announcers thought the call would be reversed, and when it wasn't, they just said "wow".

That call had as much or more impact than anything. 4th play of the game and the starting safety is ejected. BS.

I went over the ledge last year. I was looking for a rock to grab on the way down...still don't see one. I'm not sure how anyone can have anything more than blind hope. I'm not mad, I just don't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I hope for the staff and kids and loyal fans that it turns around but that doesn't mean I will lie and say I see it happening.

For those calling for the head of CPR on a platter, Do you want to go back to the Chizik years or where we were when DMAC left? Perhaps you want to go back to the Walden years? Maybe Jim Criner? How about Donnie Duncan who inherited a team with 3 straight 8-3 seasons which had Redshirted the whole Freshman class the previous year?

You have had an ugly girlfriend for almost 40 years and now you expect her to be beautiful. Face it, there are days she is going to wake up okay and days she is going to be Coyote Ugly.

I'm not calling for Rhoads to be fired, but who says we aren't back to where Criner, Duncan, or Walden? Criner had a .402 winning percentage in conference. If we go 3-9 followed by what could be a horribad season on par with 2003 or the 90s years please tell me what the difference is.

I meant his the last game v KU. Nov 4th-ish. 2 or 3 weeks before the final game against Mizzou (the infamous - "we're sorry we called holding against you Gary - love the BigXII" game)

I'm not sure if it was that week or the one after where he "resigned".

Point being - it was over and Mac was done that day against KU. I was at the MU game as well - and it had a respectable attendance - mostly because of senior day and sending Dan off. But it was also pretty good weather as I recall.

Those last two games this fall likely aren't going to be as they are later.

That was the last game I left early before Saturday.

If it weren't for the contract/buyout, yeah, I think that CPR should have been gone on Sunday. As it is, I'm fine seeing how the season plays out.
