The past doesn't matter when you're talking about the state of the program as compared to Iowa moving forward from right now. Comparing the resume of what's been done at Iowa under Ferentz as a whole and what's been done under ISU under campbell is another matter entirely.

your reasoning is incoherent. Iowa finished in the top 10 twice in Ferentz's first 5 seasons. ISU with Campbell once. You should be pretty good next season but nothing is guaranteed. After that? we'll see. Has Campbell elevated your program? Absolutely, he's done a great job. Can't argue that. Staying there and maintaining the program at a decent level for 20 plus years is a different ballgame. There will always be ups and downs but will he stick around to ride them out? Nobody knows.

Iowa recruits against themselves. Much like Barta negotiates against himself. You can't tout Iowa as this standard of unheralded player development and at the same time ignore the fact that rarely does a recruit without Iowa ties choose Iowa over other comparable P5 destinations.
