It looked like part of it was on fire as well when landing. It was definitely leaning after landing.... and it seemed like quite a hard landing too IMO.... but still.... a ton of progress. I sure hope nobody was near that thing when it blew.
from the stream above it sounded like the landing pads/gear failed to deploy and it was a potential issue they had known about and are already working on revisions of it.
Bumping this again. Trying for another launch today. Earliest is about 1 hr away, but is currently foggy. So would assume it would be pushed back later in the morning/early afternoon.
Despite the fog, they are loading fuel. So looks like it will happen! Here is the SpaceX stream, starts in 8 mins or so!
I can't believe they're launching in the fog. I suppose it's all automated anyway. Might not be able to see much for this one.
I was not expecting this much fog! Will be cool to see it get above it on the stream though!
That dude playing it off like it's just a frozen camera view, so time to end the stream. Nothing to see here folks, move along!
That's kind of what I assumed. Learn more through failure than through success.
