Hi everyone - I'm bringing my son to his first game Saturday. I'm really pumped but also want him to enjoy it as much as possible. Any tips for making the game day experience go well? He's 3.5. I thought at one point there was a kid's zone for pre-game? Any other fun things we should do? He may be a bit young for the spirit walk? I plan to bring some water bottles, snacks, etc. and we do have a pretty good parking pass.

Kid zone went away several years ago. That was a great place for families with young children, and it was a great way to help create fans for life.

Shorter tailgate, if any, would be my recommendation if you want to see most of the game. Be prepared to walk around and miss some game action because a young one will not be interested. You will have to be patient.

Good luck!

Watch the Spirit Walk, go the the South side of the stadium and listen to the band playing the school fight song. Take a water bottle or two and enjoy the game. Going to be a beautiful day weather wise.

Doing the same thing with my 6 year old. We're taking bags and stuff to play at the tailgate, plus a bunch of his favorite stuff to make on the grill. My rule going in is we get to do whatever he wants to do the whole time we're there, all the way up to and including leaving the game at any point if he decides it's time.

Kids that young are more interested in the band than the game. So make sure you plan to be in place for all of the performances. And get them all the candy and popcorn to keep their attention between band performances.

Good luck, most kids don’t get their first game to be this beautiful of weather.

I want to bring my son to a game (he is also 3.5 years old). He is way too busy/wild to try and keep corralled for a game. I'm not sure if he could make it through the spirit walk or first quarter, let alone a full game. Good luck!

Sneak an Ames Lager in for him to sip on.

Our oldest was around this age. His favorite part was eating lunch from a tent on the curb. The game won’t be a big deal to him. Show him all the side stuff.
