I currently cannot post things on our front page. I have a little bit of time to kill. Here are some notes I took while watching last night's country music awards.

- Since when is Jason Aldean a rapper? Really? Give it up dude.

- T-Swift + a banjo = AWESOME.

- I'm really glad that Sara Evans is back in the game. She's one of the only female country singers from that era that I genuinely like.

- Is it me or does Wynonna always look like she is about to kick someone's behind?

- I think that Jamey Johnson got jobbed by not winning "Album of the Year." "The Guitar Song" was gold....One of my favorite albums in the last 10 years.

- Blake Shelton and REBA did a nice job of hosting the event. Shelton is fantastic. I'm a big fan of his music and he's really been "out there" a lot lately. I saw him on Chelsea Lately last week. He's hosting some singing show on NBC. He's marrying the best artist in the game right now in Miranda Lambert. I think that his career is about to take off.

- I think that you can make the argument that Miranda Lambert should have won every category that she was nominated in last night. She absolutely tore things up in 2010. She's actually a real country singer too, which is refreshing.

- Now that Brooks and Dunn is out of the equation and Montgomery Gentry aren't very active, they might as well dismantle the "Best Duo" category. The rest of the groups in that group are garbage IMO.

- It was about time that my second favorite artist, Eric Church, finally got some love on one of these shows. However, I was surprised that they kept referring to him as a newcomer. He's been around for like three years right? BTW, he tore it up with his performance of "Smoke a Little Smoke."

- Carrie Underwood and Steven Tyler were great. One of the top performances of the night by far.

- I think that Taylor Swift deserved "Entertainer of the Year." Say what you want about her, but nobody sells out an arena like T-Swift does these days. In the end, it really doesn't matter that the majority of these peeps buying tickets are teenage girls. They still have to pay to get into the event.

That's an OUTSTANDING song... and Aldean is the man. Go out to iTunes right now, download "Dirt Road Anthem" and listen to it a few times. Best song on that album. I love it... my wife didn't like it at first either... it grew on her and now she loves it. Seriously. Download it... actually, download the entire Wide Open CD and you won't be sorry.

If I knew your iTunes member name, I'd almost gift it to you, that's how good the song is.

I agree, I HATED that song at first, thought it was horrible, now it is stuck in my head and I play it at least once per day. It doesnt hurt that on my way to work I drive on about 4 miles of dirt roads.

I do wish there was a version of actual singing instead of "rapping" but oh well.

If you wanna really hate on the song, listen to the original version and then stab yourself.

My thoughts were as follows:

1: Miranda Lambert use to be the hottest girl on earth during her Kerosene video days. Dirty looking and the way she talks. I was in love. Now she is a princess and i hate it. However, Carrie Underwood was rocking the dirty skank look last night and I am pretty much in love again.

2: The dude from sugarland is married to a women, that is shocking to me. Also, what has become of the fat lesbian that use to be in the group?

3: Wouldnt it be cool if they had a alt country/red dirt category? Have Cross Canadian Ragweed/The Departed play a song, some Reckless kelley or something. I just think it's stupid that all these country stars like Dierks Bentley and lee ann womack do duets and are in videos w/ these guys yet they get no love in award shows. I guarantee you 90% of the big stars listen to all these bands and it would be sooo bad *** to have someone no one knows like Jackson Taylor play some song about doing cocaine and melt peoples brains.

Glad you have the album. I'm a big fan. It grew on my wife... maybe it'll grow on you.. Otherwise, just enjoy the other songs. To each his own.

Also, Can't argue with you on the Eric Church. He's good. His new song "Homeboy" is outstanding also.

Jennifer Nettles' voice reminds me of a large cat that is in a lot of pain and will not quit yelping.

Had I said that, it would be the nicest thing I have ever said about her. I CANNOT STAND Sugerland. Their music, their mannerisms, their act, his stupid hats....everything about them bugs me.

Oh goodness gracious. A few agreements here but mostly disagreements.

-Jason Aldean can do what he wants.
-How in the world can a guy that likes Miranda Lambert make a derogatory comment about Jennifer Nettles voice? They are both annoying as hell.
-I used to like Blake SHelton but now it seems as though he's kind of a ******.
-Agree on the best duo part.
-I have nothing against Taylor Swift. I think she is a sweet girl with pretty good talent in terms of writing songs at her age. HOWEVA, she is not a good entertainer. There's just something off. It always looks so put together and choreographed.

Now this is on the money. Not only does Yaman3 know his football recruiting, but his country music analysis is great too.
