So, at 6 wins, does Iowa go to a bowl game?

It is good indeed to have their fans quiet for once.

I heard that after the game, Jake Christensen disgustedly tried to throw his jersey in the laundry, but totally overthrew the hamper.

And then he got sacked by a folding chair sitting in the middle of the locker room.

To be fair, it was said folding chair's Super Bowl.

Christensen came out flat.

I always heard Folding's backup, Wicker, was a much better chair. It's a travesty that Wicker didn't get more action this season.

I'm hoping that Iowa does go to a bowl and they play on the blue carpet. Against the likes of North Dakota St.

It would be a good measure of how well the great Iowa fans travel. I truely think they would say it would be beneath them.

Wicker is a backup because he didn't come to Iowa, so obviously he wasn't that good....otherwise they'd have offered him.

If they don't you gotta think we are feeling a lot better about the end of our season than they are despite us only winning 3 games. Much more upside for ISU next fall. Iowa is a program on the slide greatly benefited from playing in a TERRIBLE big10 and avoiding OSU.

I don't think Iowa is going to be able to get any of the big10 slots, so they will have to take an at large if they get offered one.

For real??? Wow.

I know they're 6-6 and we're 3-9 with a few ugly losses.

But damn, I'm glad I'm not Iowa right now. With all the arrests, staff hot-seat, players seemingly not caring, fans imploding - it's just bad in Iowa City.

And the expected rough basketball season is only going to fuel this fire.

If Iowa goes to a bowl game with this resume, then the NCAA needs an investigation. Especially after 7wins got them the outback and 6-6, 2-6 got them the alamo last year.
Northern Ill (2-9)
Syracuse (2-9)
Illinois (9-3) Zook won this game for the Hawks.
Michigan ST (7-5) Choke job by the spartans
Northwestern (6-6)
Minny (1-11)

3 of those teams are 3 of the worst teams you can find in the country.

You know all of those "It's good to be a Hawkeye" bumper stickers you see around the state? I wonder if anyone actually believes that drivel anymore... :biglaugh:
