For reference, the southern end of that front moved through here this morning as rain. Yesterday morning, 1" of rain, hail, and strong winds were pretty much guaranteed. Last night, the projected rain totals were reduced to 0.5". We ended up getting about 0.5" with no severe weather that I am aware of.

Crazy....Ames schools dismissed at one...not a flake of snow before 4PM. Talk about setting an odd precedence for the future...I can see cancel evening activities.

12+ inches here in Wichita. Wichita State classes have been cancelled since Wednesday night through tomorrow. Feels like home.

stupid school closed at 1:30, daycare at 3 = no snow and 3 kids driving me bonkers.

most likely des moines will call off school and my stupid daycare will cry about bringing in kids so i will be home again, so i am going to attempt to make some home brew beer for the first time

at least there is some snow on the ground
