I remember back in the heady days of '07, the two-inch ice storm that made campus almost unrecognizable, and certainly impassable. Took me nearly an hour to get from Lyon to Gilman (made it to MY classes, kids these days, grumble grumble, etc.) only to hear that all classes were cancelled after 2 PM (of course, both of mine that day were before noon).

Took me nearly an hour to get from Lyon to Gilman (made it to MY classes, kids these days, grumble grumble, etc.) only to hear that all classes were cancelled after 2 PM (of course, both of mine that day were before noon).

I think I had all my classes that day as well, but I usually tried to be done with class before 2. I also had to work intramural basketball that night because they supposedly never cancel unless it is real bad. I was surprised that we didn't have any no shows or any late teams, but it was the playoffs. There was even team who found out that day they were playing due to a previous opponent being kicked out the playoffs and they still managed to have a team.
