This kid is definitely legit. I coached against him last year, tough to stop. He is very versatile. If ya lay off of him on the perimeter, he'll knock down a 22 footer on you, if you get up on him, he'll take it past you. Good hands, Good feet, nice post moves. He'd be a great addition to our bigs.

This may be a pipe dream, but I'd really like to see the cornerstone of the ISU team be compromised of Uthoff and the other gems in state of Iowa class of 11' & 12'.

Get these guys, sprinkle in some national talent and you've got a recipe for sustained success.

Go get'em coach.

Yeah, Dean's his uncle.

I haven't seen this kid but it's obvious he has some talent by the schools that are showing interest. To think that a month ago many on here were appalled at the idea of bringing in a white Iowa kid. Maybe the coaches can evaluate talent better than us?

This is a type of player ISU has to land as often as possible.

Sometimes it helps to look at the list of schools under consideration. If I see a regional BCS team (like Illinois in this case), it's best not to lose an in-state star in those situations.

I've long said it: ISU can't build a roster completely with Iowa players, but has to (eventually) own the state when it comes to top-level home-grown talent. That happens one recruit at a time (sorry for using a cliche, but it seemed to fit )

Agree! The Mayor needs to become the Governor.
I guess at least ISU does seem to own a state. One that is known for its cheese.

His coach mentioned that he has a bit of a mean streak and doesn't shy away from contact. We haven't had this type of attitude since Jared Homan was here. I would love to get this kid signed up!
