1977, so, anyone on CF that would have been a fan of it when it came out has to be at least mid-60's now. So, when (or how) did you young pups get into listening to it?

Nicks has stated over the years it was determined by the band that it was too long so they opted for I Don't Wanna Know instead

Great song too with its own weight.

But Silver Springs....whew....does it tell a story. This video from years later still captures some of that emotion.

I'll follow you down til' the sound of my voice will haunt you
Give me just a chance
You'll never get away from the sound of the woman that loves you
Time cast a spell on you, but you won't forget me
I know I could've loved you, but you would not let me
I'll follow you down 'til the sound of my voice

I had a sister that liked some disco, but my brothers set me straight early on. They had good taste in music. I heard a lot of Fleetwood Mac, Zeppelin, CCR, Beatles, Crosby Stills and Nash, Hendrix, Cream etc when I was barely old enough to know better.

How they made this as they battled demons while their relationships blew up...

All while making the others sing songs about the breakup.

The making of is just a crazy crazy story.

Gotta get the release with Silver Springs included though.

Just pulled up the video for that song. And, damn, Stevie Nicks locking eyes with Buckingham near the end is really something.

And also got me thinking, none of the whole autotunes stuff we get now to perfectly polish everything, just awesome vocals.

Just such a beautifully melodic sound to the whole record. A band that had every reason to break up and disband but knew they were making something so good it couldn't be brought to an end.

Also, I believe a few songs from that album were made at Sound City-- which there is an awesome documentary about:

Testifying
Stevie wanting to be a Heartbreaker would have been an interesting parallel universe.
I am partial to Christine as the lead.

I think there was a rumor going around at that time that Ohio State would go after Earle Bruce when Woody Hayes retired, or got fired...

Sorry...wrong kind or rumor...

Great band. I played their greatest hits just on my two channel stereo on Sunday. Most of their production quality is pretty good
