I am happy about this hire. I don't know if there is a direct relationship but the number of injuries with the previous staff was insane. I know that improved some this year but something had to change there.

This is very true. As was discussed in other threads the S&C staff spends by far the most time with the players. As I've said before I was the closest with my strength coach out of all coaches and it really wasn't close. They can be very pivotal in setting the mentality and work ethic of the program.

He's not wrong.

Development also comes from position coaches and the higher ups. I liked hearing that our whole staff will be preaching a consistent message. Very important.

Doyle, eiu's s&c coach, is one of the most important coaches on kirk's staff. kirk would probably say he IS the most important coach.
