So at what point do you draw the line as being different? It's okay to shoot animals with guns for sport, but it's not okay to use small guns to shoot targets for sport?

The picture shows he is holding 2 firearms, they aren't pointed anywhere dangerous, and both have empty chambers. What about this picture suggests he would not be a good recruit? He is acting safely in all regards and is posing for a picture. What am I missing here?

It just doesnt look good to a school that is recruiting the kid. That is the point and to not realize that is pretty stupid on his part. I would guess that CPR and most coaches would tell a kid on their team to take a picture like that down if he put it up.

The perception is that he is holding them in a "gangster" style pose by probably just about everyone but you I guess. If you think D1 coaches are just going to laugh off a picture like this as a gun enthusiast properly holding a couple of target pistols then you are missing quite a lot. I own alot of guns so don't get all gun guy on me.

Just playing devils advocate. How do we know this isn't the first time he has held a hand gun? I don't know about you, but I've seen plenty of people who don't like to shoot guns, but get a rush just holding them. How would you expect him to pose with a gun, let alone two? This would be a typical pose if you ask me. People are overacting. I know, I know pot meet kettle.

One last thing isn't holding a gun all gangster like having your arms pointed straight with your guns pointed sideways?

All I can say is. A) Thank heaven that photo wasn't taken in Ames, and B) thank heaven those aren't pellet guns!
