Sooo I've read that TJs buyout is anywhere from 3 to 5 million? Is that true? Kinda seems like a lot to get him

TJ's UNLV buyout is $3.15 million. After July 1st, 2021 that number drops to $1.05 million. I would imagine if it's truly TJ, Jamie is negotiating down that buyout some.

Also, uncharacteristic of Norlander to put out a bad report. No way we paid Prohm's buyout in full.

Four years seems excessive.
4 years! I agree in basketball it in no way should take 4 years. I'm good with TJ but it shouldn't take 4 years, 3 at the most. Now Pollard has done some terrific things for ISU but because the guy before him was awful I think he gets a free pass by most.
Hiring coaches they're have been plenty of misses throughout all sports. 2 really bad in basketball, football and 1 really bad in wrestling.

Jamie said that to tamp down the rumors of people like altman or fred that were never coming here.

It's going to be TJ.

That's the Occam's Razor analysis of the situation.

Not the fun analysis (Hoiball! Thad Matta lives! Altman has family in the midwest!) but the rational one...

He better not have a huge buyout in case he can't turn it around. Give him four years to get back into the tourney, if he can't then we move on. I also hope we're not footing the bill to buy him out at UNLV. If we're throwing money around like that we ought to get more of a proven product.
His buyout is $ 3 million.

Why would Prohm accept anything less than what he was owed? He had all the leverage.
