Wasn't it Jok that we had to stop recruiting due to the minor violation that took place on Fred's staff?
(Edit: though without looking it up, I feel like we did not know that at the time and it only came out after he had committed to Iowa and after the report of the violation and self-imposed punishment came out.)

Jok would have been a Cyclone if we wouldn't have had the while illegal contact debacle... He didn't choose Iowa, we simply had to stop recruiting him.
They're on pace to be able to play their senior year with the littlest McCaffrey son.
There's about a 150% chance he gets a scholarship if Fran is still the head coach.
Lefty was illegally recruiting Jok. So we backed off to avoid any type of ncaa sanctions. Fred got rid of lefty for that reason. Jok was left with a Drake offer and an Iowa offer. Otherwise we would have been in the drivers seat. Then again we might have been in the drivers seat because we were illegally recruiting him.
Jok was already leaning Iowa State before Lefty got involved.. It helps when your AAU team plays / practices directly next to the Iowa State practice facility.
If it makes you feel any better, I got an ear full from Lefty once when I called a charge on him in an IM game for clearing out and pushing off on his spin move. He had made the shot which would have put them up and they lost the game.
No I think it had to do with some infraction from Lefty Moore or something.

I like that we're going second.. I feel like this is each school's last pitch to him and it feels like we have the better point of attack.

How the heck is Fran going to spin the twins on the Foster camp?
"Look at the great, under-the-radar talent you get to play with!"
OR
"Look, I know they suck and that was a terrible decision and I am likely to make similarly bad decisions going forward, but you will be THE MAN and play 38+ minutes per night."
...even if Fran is notorious for long rotations despite his weak talent and depth.

At this point you start to wonder if Foster is just leading them on so he has Fran stories to tell down the road.
Raptor better get on the horn to Xavier and tell him Jerry Meyer and crew have him warm to 5 schools. No way he could have just two favorites.
