Limbaugh's dad and mom played football & volleyball for Nebraska, his uncle played football for UNI.
I don't know of any connections to Iowa or Iowa State.

Manskes are big Iowa State fans

Most Clear Lake kids are Iowa fans. I would be surprised if Meyer does go to Iowa

My understanding is that Limbaugh’s parents are leaving it up to him. They will support wherever he chooses to go. It is HIS recruitment. I do know that Limbaugh loves Campbell and the staff. Obviously Manske felt the same. Both are good high character kids.

Thats great, sounds a lot like the Curvey recruitment. Gotta love how the parents in these situations handle it!

Mitchell was an Elite 11 finalist in 2017. Just like JJ and now Alex.

As was Rohach in 2011.

About the only QB recruit in the past 15 years who hasn’t been is Purdy
Okay, you guys made me look it up.

Apparently the Elite 11 has changed formats over the years. It looks like they used to invite 24 quarterbacks (including some locals as more or less fillers), then select the best Eleven (or Twelve, with a tie). The rest were “Finalists”. That would be Rohach and Mitchell.

Nowadays, it looks like they have regional qualifiers, then the top 20 are invited to the Finals—rather, the top 20 who accept an invite.

That includes Hunter Dekkers, JJ and now Alex. The former pair both finished in the top half (including the top two or three in events like arm strength, iirc) of the final 11, with JJ faring the better of the two.

Also as I recall, Rocco focused more on 7 on 7 tourneys, and Connor didn’t camp at all.

We’ll see how Alex does. Looking forward to it!
