I'm guessing this kid will start to get some looks. Pretty legit handles for a 6'7" kid, IMO. A better version of the Iowa City kid who just committed to UNI

And as I watch that video, I was NOT expecting that kind of handle/ open-court skills for 6'-7". That crossover is pretty good. I will NOT be disappointed if we offer. In fact, I hope we do.

For the record, how did all the "analysts" not know about this guy?

Good question.

Everyone take a deep breath about Lowe... It's likely that someone from Iowa State was in attendance to watch, however that doesn't mean we have interest of have offered. From what I can find about Lowe is that it seems he is coming on late, having only some D2 interest and Wisconsin-Green Bay after him at the moment. Guess we will see how popular he can become over the course of the next month...

Otherwise, Iowa State has been confirmed to be watching Byron Zeigler today. Fred Hoiberg is out in D.C. at the Nike Global Challenge and Skills U from what I can gather, players out there include Kyle Washington, Kevin Zabo and a few others.

Just for an early heads up, I am planning a full recap of this weekend for Monday or Tuesday morning!

Unless you confirm we AREN'T interested, I am going to assume we have offered, we're a favorite, and I'm going to start a new '13-'14 starting lineup and putting Lowe at the "3".

:jimlad:

If more news of ACTUAL interest or offers would come out, I wouldn't have to do this...

Again, :jimlad:

Not sure if he's athletic enough, but I know that CW is going on vacation, and that affects my judgment.

Given the CWcation and this guy's sudden exposure on the site, I can only believe that he is a more talented, unknown version of Royce White and already a silent commit about to become a publicly known verbal commit to Iowa State.

This is the status quo, and I'm ok with it.

Now we've got the right idea.

Anyone see where this guy is projected in '16 NBA mock drafts?

My sources are telling me he has first round talent, but will likely fall to the second.

Teams are worried about his fear of traveling by bicycle, so that is ruining his stock.

So now that Kenny Lowe is in the fold we have 3 commits. I am assuming he commits since we have offered and we are Iowa State. :pcool:

No, I'm sorry but I will be hyperventilating until I hear our recruiting status with Kenneth.

Saw some tweets about Byron and Hasson at the Adidias Camp.

ReggieRankin Reggie Rankin
6'7 SF Byron Zeigler also had a nice game for the Michigan Hurricanes. Athletic and has improved his skill and feel for the game #teamadidas

ReggieRankin Reggie Rankin
6'6 Hasson Martin of New Heights played well hit the glass and finished around the rim and on the break. #teamadidas

Appears Fred is watching some major players at the Nike Global Challenge:
Kuran Iverson, Beejay Anya, Troy Williams, JaQuan Lyle, Wayne Selden, JaJuan Johnson, Wes Clark and Kennedy Meeks of the U.S. and Andrew Wiggins of Canada, among others.
