So, Hunter, Chris Thomas (would love if we still have a shot with him, headcase or not) Who else for next year are we going after hard now?

Vaughn is a stud, but he is one and done if he wants to be. could have Terrell and Abu an extra year or two so that would be a better combo. But all 3 would make me slap a hoe.

All 3 would make me volunteer to be the hoe you slap.

He never replied to my tweet. And as I said it certainly appears that it is indeed Iowa and not Iowa State.

He has responded to plenty of others with a very decisive top three of USF, providence and Iowa. Which explains why he has dropped in the rankings steeply.....He is stupid.

Is Fran oversigning now? Oh the horror! Fran used to do things the "right way".

Bringing Hogue on precludes ISU from getting/needing Bo or Hunter. The 2014 class will address that situation.

We oversigned last year when signing Naz. Maybe Fran knows that one of his recruits is a miss already or that someone is transferring. Ya never know.

Just because we aren't landing Zeigler doesn't mean we don't need Hunter. Hunter would play PF/SF which we have playing time for him at both of those positions next year.

This is peripheral at this point, but Providence received a commitment from former ISU interest Rodney Bullock (PF-ish), and South Florida received a commitment from Chris Perry, a PF.

both Providence and South Florida are the other two teams besides the Hawks that Zeigler has listed as final interests. Zeigler is SF-ish, so not likely to conflict, but I do wonder how this impacts the scholarship #'s at those schools. Dominoes are falling this time of the year, and prospects sometimes pre-empt other kid's commitments as schools fill up their classes.

Just think its all interesting to watch, that's all.

If we are not his final 3, then why bother worrying about him. NEXT

Not worried. Did i say i was? I said it's all "interesting". Do you have anything related to ISU recruits to discuss at the moment? I don't, but I'd be glad for somebody to offer some info of substance, so it can be discussed.

By the way, what's with everybody being so edgy in these bball threads the last couple days?

Hopefully we can snag another top 25 type player soon. It is very hard to finish in the top 3 in the Big 12 without one, at least from an ISU standpoint.

I'm 70% certain that Zeigler is looking unlikely to qualify, which is why you're seeing his recruitment look so weird. That is based nothing more than reading between the lines and pure speculation.

Fair enough. Didn't mean to sound like a jerk, just figured it was a waste of time is all.

It won't be for the 2013 class unless there is a major surprise.

Another '14 to keep an eye on. Khadeen Carrington (ISU has offered)

Carrington, a combo guard out of Bishop Loughlin (NY), holds offers from Iowa State, Iowa, UConn, Kansas State, Villanova, Cincinnati, Rutgers, West Virginia, St. John's and more. At the moment, he says Cincinnati, West Virginia and Iowa State are recruiting him the hardest. An upcoming trip to Cincinnati is scheduled in two weeks. Both the No. 97 player in the Rivals150 and his mother have tangled with the idea of committing this spring, but that is a distance away.
