Re: Rashad Vaughn

He would be far from the first one and done to change his mind. Morris planed on going Pro after two years.. And while he still could enter the draft next year I'm guessing he stays.

What's this based on?

Re: Rashad Vaughn

But if we win the national championship next year I'm sure he would. But I think if he thinks we get close and can do it the next year he would return. Unless he's the highly reguarded as the #1 pick, which probably won't happen.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Mock drafts obviously means nothing. But just shows how high he's already projected by some without playing a single game.

But I won't complain if he's good enough to be one and done. I just hope he doesn't make the common mistake of going pro too early.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

I for one hope Vaughn comes to ISU and is good enough to warrant going pro after 1 season. If that happens I'm sure we'll all be pretty pleased with how Iowa State did.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

He said he wouldn't go to college if he didn't have to and if he comes to ISU he will be able to showcase his talents in a system that is perfect for him with a coach who will be preparing him for the NBA. If he comes here I think he has a great chance to be a lottery pick

I think this is very true, IF he follows the coach's directions. Coach runs a very selfless system for the best open shot. If he is open a lot, he should get the opportunity to shoot a lot but if he doesn't play defense or tries to hog the ball, he will do his showcase work from the bench.

Not that Vaughn isn't a great recruit at all, but you guys are acting like he's Wiggins last year.

He's not even ranked in the top 10. Just because he wants to go Pro ASAP doesn't mean he will. Or won't change his mind. Hell he doesn't even know where he wants to play college ball yet.
I don't believe all the hype on Wiggins anyway. I've seen better freshmen (Parker, Gordon, & Randle) for instance. Not that Wiggins isn't good (and I would love to have him at ISU) but I've seen better players that can take over a game better IMO.

The reason Andrew has so much hype is because he's possibly the most athletic specimen to come up through the high school ranks. Combine Parker's game with Wiggins athleticism and you have the next LeBron/MJ.. Rashad is more of a D-Wade version:spinny:

Obviously I'm speaking potential here between a non-existent person and it's not that hard to believe. Wiggins has been considered the possible 'next LeBron' which I think is definitely a stretch. Jabari has all the tools and the mentality of a winner. Wiggins has been blessed physically to say the least. The consensus 1-2 picks so far in a draft that could be one of the best of all time.

I don't want to argue over something that's fantasy but to just say 'wow' because LeBron and MJ's names get brought up is annoying.

That happens every year. Some scouts get it and others don't. Wiggins is good, but I'd take Parker over him any second of the day. It reminds me of when scouts salivate over someone who can run a 4.3 40 and then forget that they have to be able to actually catch the ball.

If I responded with anything more than "wow" it could lead to this thread going way off topic. Probably just leave it at that, since it wasn't a big deal.
