What happens to this thread if he doesn't commit?
Everyone is dis-crediting UNC....but what about UNLV? Yea they started slow this season, but they still put an average NBA player into the #1 slot of the draft and they have the $$$ that we don't. Don't discount the fact that the handler has his own agenda.
Also - sorry to be a downer but RV will not be in attendance this weekend. Findlay plays Friday and Saturday in NV and Rashad will be sweating on the court in his new ISU undies.
Seeing Kane and Ejim getting headlines on ESPN/CBS was a reminder that UNC and UK does not soak up all the media ink. Winning at OSU may be a huge lift for recruiting next year. Flappy Bird also helps...I mean what a cool coach. Playing video games on the plane after the big win of the season. That is how you recruit. This was what I was thinking. Every guy on the floor last night made a play or two that was critical to the win. Every single one. As a player watching that, who wouldn't love that?

First off, for all their success over the years, I find it hard to believe that UNLV has that much more money flowing into their program than we do.
Second off, Fred reclaimed a senior PG who was going nowhere into a solid NBA back-up PG and turned a known head-case who was on the verge of washing out of basketball altogether into a 1st round pick. IN HIS FIRST TWO YEARS AS A COACH AT ANY LEVEL. It's not like he can't compare to their NBA track record.
Yeah, that is less than ideal and one could say if he were picking ISU he would wait until April to avoid some hassle, but he goes to a prep school full of kids that go elsewhere.
Also, our other known target, Marvin Clark, will be in Vegas on Saturday for the National Prep Showcase. Here is to those two having great games and committing to Coach Hoiberg!

UNC Basketball Recruiting: Rashad Vaughn to announce on Saturday
I complete agree with your points. My point is that UNLV should also be taken seriously. Everyone is thrilled that UNC seems to be eliminated, and rightfully so, but I'm not going to be shocked if he ends up a Rebel.
I enjoyed this comment from UNC's Rivals forum....
If he commits to Iowa State he will never be heard from again. He may very well be good , but nobody will know it...LOL.
Better not discount UK that fox slipped back in the hen house a few weeks ago.
How much talent do they have on their roster? Where are they ranked in the top 25 again?
Unfortunately the belly putter isn't retired until 2016...not that RV likes that kind of BS golf anyway. He's more of a Rickie Fowler fan, which compares well to CFH. /End RambleFred is Roy Williams 20 years ago. Who would you rather play for? Tired old belly putter Roy? Or jet flyin, limo ridin, hole in one and albatross getting young Roy? Fred is the new big swingin **** Roy's time is past.
