I still hold out hope that Vaughn will be a Gopher, but man would he absolutely thrive under Hoiberg. The freedom he gives his guards would lead to Vaughn averaging like 25 a game there. Plus, once again Hilton Magic proves to be real. Between Hoiberg's connections, Hoiberg's offense, and that fun home court anybody who still thinks ISU has no chance is fooling himself.

I really hope Adelman retires from the Wolves, and Flip gives Hoiberg a deal he can't refuse to come coach the Wolves. Hoiberg coaching ISU is only going to be a huge nuisance for Gopher fans. Looks like Rashad is going to go there, Illkainen is looking at ISU, etc. Not good

I'll just take what RV has said on his twitter in the past - he's tweeted more about ISU than any other team. He's paying close attention to us.

I will predict a big surprise as far as his final 5 list goes. I bet someone gets left off that will be a shock.

Agreed, it's a great sign. I'm just saying we shouldn't think he's absolutely going to come here until he says it. I am pretty sure we'll be in the top 5. If we aren't, then I'll be extremely surprised and confused.

I bet he cuts Minnesota, Arizona, and Baylor. KU is probably not getting cut, although they could be. I doubt UNLV gets cut, although I wonder if they did enough damage to themselves in his official visit to make him cut them.

As long as we are in his final five, it is all good, but I would be surprised to see KU in there. They have commitments from two top 20 wings (one being his current teammate) and may return 6 guards. Of course, all of those returning players are highly ranked.

If it's anyone it would probably be UNLV. They really hurt themselves with his visit.

Assuming he keeps Iowa State in the final five, what I will be most interested in is what he does about Minnesota and UNLV. Will he keep both and trim off three of the traditional recruiting powers or drop one or both of them. I kind of assume the list of five will be where he takes his official visits so Baylor, UNLV, ISU, and UNC would be on the list plus one more. Of Kansas, Kentucky, Arizona, and Minnesota it would be really interesting to see which one he would take the last official to.
