Re: Rashad Vaughn

While I agree that Vaughn staying in the TCs is likely better for us than him at Brewster, and that many schools have the same or better connections to Brewster as we do...

if he's definitely going prep, Brewster is likely better for us than say Huntington, or Findlay.

Insignificantly better, but yes

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Rashad Vaughn is killing me with this suspense of the unknown. Not really a whole lot to think about. A state school's a state school's a state school. What should matter to him at this point is style of play, proximity to home, and campus life/community. A couple buddies of mine won't stop letting me hear about how ISU stands no greater chance of getting him than they did hometown hero, Harrison Barnes. They don't see how he would go anywhere that isn't a blue blood program, and I have a running bet with them that he WILL NOT go to North Carolina. So basically it's the field v.s. UNC, but obviously I want him in cardinal and gold.

I still think we stand a very good chance of capturing a pledge from him soon!

Sometimes you gotta dump your special lady, move to Las Vegas for a year, and experiment with drugs & sex to find out how much she really means to you. (Note: Not RV specific, just mostly advice for any youngsters reading this)

hahaha..have you ever thought of being a high school guidance counselor?

Re: Rashad Vaughn

UNC just got a commitment from Theo Pinson. This could have an effect on where Vaughn wants to go.

I thought for sure Vaughn was quoted before as saying UNC was only taking one more wing, but UNC fans seem convinced they are still taking another SG/wing like Vaughn. However with Justin Jackson and Pinson, this gives them two 2 5star wings in this class already along with a 5star PG.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

If Rashad Vaughn wants to go to UNC, there is no way UNC would turn him down. You don't turn down a top ten rated recruit. It doesn't matter who they already have committed at the time if he wants to go there. However, I believe Theo Pinson's commitment does open the door (a tiny little bit) for other schools to gain Rashad's interest.

Bingo. Guys like RV and Theo Pinson can co-exist. They are both 6-6 wing/guard type players. It's really easy to see how you could fit those two in the same line up.

i did find the article I read before, it said “but they did say that it’s first come, first served for the other (wing scholarship). If someone commits before me I’ll be happy for that person, but I’m just wide open and don’t want to rush.

of course Roy can always change his sales pitch and take another wing and heels fans think that is this case

This news is a really good sign for us. I'd be surprised if he didn't choose the Clones now.

UNC would take him but he may want more minutes to himself. He would be a feature player at ISU and I guarantee would get more minutes. Not that that's the be all-end all.

Wow, I think we have a fighting chance, and have cardinal and gold glasses on, but man, I'll have some of what you are drinking.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Maybe they have a Bubu that can pull (ok, not renew) a scholarship from to accommodate Rashad.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

This thread is just making me realize how good North Carolina's 2014 class will be.

There seems to be more parity in college basketball than ever before. But recruiting wise, North Carolina, Kentucky and Kansas are on another planet.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Of course 'Ol Roy would take him, but this may cause him to focus his recruiting elsewhere, which could benefit Fred
