A stone age ago we sent my oldest to Woodstock for preschool. You know the crayon fence that used to be up on 13th Street in Ames? For graduation all of the kids wore cute little yellow gowns and mortarboards. I know Boxster will get why they were yellow.

Stockwood! (This is what 5-8 yo me would call him. Could never remember the word order.)

Placed an online order at 4:48a to pick-up at Target. It's almost 12 hours later exactly. Just checked my email and app...still not ready. TP, OTC medicine, a cleaning supply, and a tube of mascara. Not. That. Hard. Yes, please, SEND me the survey!

I was being nice with the "informative". I'm so sorry you had a rough day because someone else was an idiot. I'm also very sorry that I giggled at the mental image of you chasing pigs...

Okay, maybe the second apology was a lie...

Unfortunately, there wasnt much chasing needed.

Not exactly sure.
Oh, I thought about having the count be off 1 or 2 a lot.

Helped load a truck once for a guy who had a trucker who looked like a hillbilly from Kentucky. We thought he didn't have the right amount of hogs on so I asked him as I pushed the last of them into the truck. I asked, "What do you have for a count?" His answer, was "uuuuu........full". We then had to go in and do a recount of the whole barn to make sure we were where we thought the number should have been. Our estimate is he had about 15 too many on since he had trouble closing the door on the back.

I started to mow the back yard and when I stopped to fill a bag the mower wouldn't pull to start. Like it seized up or something. That sucks because I don't have time to deal with it for the next few days. I should just go buy a rider.

Sounds about right

Ended up in eastern Ia today, new tires on the truck dang they are getting expensive $330 bucks for a pair of 10 ply. I haul enough in it I like the extra strength, it's nice to not have tire problems.

Got the yard mowed and steak and asparagus for supper.

So overall it wasn't a bad day.

I started to mow and the 11 year old said he wanted to do it. I texted Mrs. Velo and told her that her lawn looked like a drunk mowed it. Let's just say the little guy doesn't have the greatest attention to detail.

I think I had more fun with the yard work tonight than you did, GR8. Sorry about that.

PS - Mrs. Velo immediately assumed I had been drinking when I texted that.

I have been going to bed at 11-12 after going to moms (normal is 12-1) getting up at 2 and going to moms to see if she needs help with anything, then getting back up at 5 and starting the day after checking on mom again. so I can be back to make mom lunch. The therapists have been amazed at her progress. The nursing home is probably being placed on hold. Going to hire some in home care or move to assisted living in town to keep her independence. Said I can probably cut down to one check in at night and soon none.

My sister has came down a couple times to give me some time to work. I am thankful that more than a 3 hour block of sleep may be in the future.

The sub-3 hour sleep chunk life definitely leaves much to be desired. Hopefully it's not long-term for you.

I was working two jobs and taking additional classes a little while after I got my degree from ISU. Included in that was working several overnights a week at WOI radio. It got to the point where if I had 15 minutes of down time I was trying to take a cat nap. That is no way to live.
