Went to a wedding of a close college friend over the weekend as a groomsman. Probably the first wedding I truly cared about the people getting married instead of a random family member or something like that. It was a fairly average to small size so it was pretty intimate as well with just a ton of friends from ISU. Never seen so many people cry that hard in my life, I was on that train myself.

Great wedding and weekend all around.

1963 split-window Corvettes are just as much thee bomb to me now as they were when I was 12.

Mecum and Barrett-Jackson car auctions are my fav late evening TV wastes of time.
Those auctions make me realize there are a whole lot of people with a lot more money than I.

I have a friend that went to the motorcycle auction in Vegas last January. The bikes he was looking at were old Harley Flatheads. He said those bikes were bid up so far past their value so quickly it was a complete waste of time.

People who plant for fun are the best! ;)

Dug up my dead azaleas but haven't mustered up to take down the two dead winged euonymus yet. This winter was a nasty mother. The euonymus are BIG, planted them a long long time ago, maybe 15 plus years ago. :(

I mean, technically we do plant for the enjoyment but typically we don't rip out perfectly healthy and pretty trees just cause we're feeling the itch!

Not exactly sure.
Niece stopped by my mom's house yesterday to check up on her. She had heard she was nearing the end of independent living and wanted to check in on her grandma on the way home to des Moines. Nice of her.

She got to witness the douche neighbor mow his front lawn three times with a push mower. Then she got confused because he started up his oversized push mower that has a seat on it that he calls a rider and mowed his back yard with it. She asked why he mowed his front lawn three times. I had to explain that the first is to get it scalped down to his height he wants. The next are to put the lines in the perfect direction and spacing that he wants. This is what I've deduced over the years.

The opening days are typically stuff that even we can afford if we really really wanted them. Sometimes the sellers take a bath on the lower end cars. See lots of stuff i think is going for less than "retail".

Weddings for a groomsman are judged on how nice the bridesmaids are. Well?

I was literally and I mean literally the only single straight male at the wedding. Only one bridesmaid was single and we were "paired up" for the ceremony. Few other single females out there but for the most part just a ton of couples.

On the plane to San Diego there was large contingents of military service members on board, close to half the plane. This woman sitting in first class who saw the two empty seats next to her and her husband had asked the first class flight attendant if they would could maybe put two military service members in those seats since it's memorial day and all.

The flight attendant was like, "great idea! These two are taken but I'm sure someone like yourself would be willing to give up your seats for a service member." Dead silence and the flight attendant walked away after a few moments.

Funniest thing I've heard a flight attendant say.

Watching Jeopardy at mom's for the first time for a long time. This guy who wins can not be legit. There is no pause with him.
