We do almost all of our staples shopping at Target. I use the self-checkout lanes when I only have a few items. Otherwise, with large cartloads, I go to the cashiers. As I'm leaving the checkout lanes, I always check my list to see what I forgot (that's a what, not an if). The self checkout lanes are only on one side of the store and what I forgot is always on the other side of the store. Why can't our Target put self checkout lines on both sides? Yes. This is a first world problem. Our Walmart got rid of the self checkout lines long ago. I just figured Walmart felt they were too convenient and not enough people were being forced to wait in long lines.
