45min in and we're hitting the road to the next apartment. Good God they're good at this.

Never moving myself again
The people that moved my mom packed up everything in one day, the next day unloaded it all. Now they only did furniture but there was a lot of it. My sisters and I moved all the boxes of "stuff" and there sure were a lot of those. Thankfully they had already done 95% of the packing before I got there. I probably did 75% of the moving.

Won the crap shoot that is ordering cheap clothing on Amazon. The known brand athletic or biking gear is super spendy and half the time it's just cheap Asian made crap anyway. My crappiest jersey is a USA made Canari with fabric so bad I'd swear it snags on tree pollen. Option is to roll with some cheaper off brand stuff. Reviews can be all over the place for the same product with "great", "fell apart after second ride", "cheap thin materiel", "high quality material", "runs way small" to "runs way large" all included under the product. So rolled on a long sleeve jersey for $20. Material is nice **** and guessed right on the size. Winning.
So "cheap, high quality"

Sorry, it had to be said

Truth! :D

For something this cheap I was thinking maybe single season use but it is way better than expected.
I haven't bought much in a couple of years, but we used to be members of Team Performance and could often find clearance stuff or team specials where you could get pretty good stuff relatively reasonably priced. It was returnable as well. With Team Performance membership you also got team points that meant you accumulated credits that could be applied to future purchases. And they have pretty much everything cycling related from bikes to trainers to tools to clothing and helmets.

If you don't want to join, you can still buy everything you just don't get the few special deals and the credits toward future purchases.

And, no, I don't get a commission off of this.

BC's a better man than me. I was not drinking Jack Daniels from the bottle as a freshman. Also, I was never man enough to get a perm but I did let my sister curl the back part of my hair a couple times in high school. Never in college. My hair was too short.

I was told once in jr high while getting my hair cut that I have a "condition" called twisted hair. The stylist was so excited to see it because its apparently really rare and was calling over other stylists to show it off like some great discovery. I was informed by her that its basically harmless, but I cannot get a perm. My hair couldn't handle the process and would basically fizzle up and fall out. I looked it up back then and it seemed legit so I stayed away from perms ever since.

all right Minny peeps - looks like a visit is happening. Either the last week of Sept or third weekend of Oct. Middle two out because BIL/SIL are traveling. I'm like dang, best fall color weekends knocked out. My guess is the end of Sept is probably better weather wise and maybe you guys have some color by then being up in the tundra and all.

Think the idea is we'll drive up at bedtime. Not sure about the way back. I'm thinking maybe split it into a day trip and drive some AM, then stop somewhere to do a hike or explore or something and then try to get the rest during naptime. IDK, this hopefully won't be a disaster.
September and June are the best months for weather here (probably in Madtown too).

Since I'm contracting for an event with them, this got me thinking. The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in the Victoria area is a really nice place for a walk/hike. The grounds are fantastic and the buildings are pretty much immaculate. If you're in that area, you may want to check it out.

The Arboretum was on my list!

It probably isn't far enough into your return trip, but last weekend we went to Willow River State Park (WI) and hiked from the lake (not a lake right now; drained for dam repairs) to the falls. The falls are definitely worth it.

But as I said, it is right on MN/WI border so probably not far enough into your return trip for the leg stretch.

Yep, that's it. I basically shave now what hasn't already fallen out from typical male pattern baldness. I question whether it was actually a legit diagnosis, since I exhibit no other symptoms possibly associated with it. I didn't really care anyway if the only issues were to stay away from perms. My hair usually got pretty curly on its own if I let it grow out long enough.

Hack old man biker doesn't really need $100 Pearl Izumi or Louis Garneau jerseys. Or worse, race team jerseys while biking 15-16 mph would have people laughing at me. Would be like driving around in a Accord while wearing a Maserati cap.

Co-worker just texted another co-worker images of hail at the fairgrounds.

Wanted to bike this afternoon but too many scattered mini's out there. Not really that trackable in advance as they are kinda forming up locally and not rolling in from afar.

If you ever get a chance to go see Bond Falls in the UP of Michigan, go. You'll be glad you did. (It's where I proposed to the vixen, so there's a lot of good luck there.)
