An interesting place to visit...but the lifestyle there is a ****load of hurry up and get in the car...drive drive drive...rush rush rush to get in a line to stand & wait...get in, run run run don't stop to look...get out, hurry up & get in the car...drive drive drive...

I'm exhausted.
Didn't help much that we missed our connections in Denver BOTH TIMES. On the way out, they sent us to San Francisco, where we spent a day and two nights, then flew out. On the way back, they were able to get us on the next flight, about 3 hours later.

(sorry mods...the filter didn't catch it...)

I saw you had trouble in and out which never, ever helps. I'm surprised there's that much driving in Japan! I would have imagined more public transport or walking. Were you in the city(ies) the whole time or did you see countryside?

Any amount of shrimp. But I think I'm allergic, so that's probably why

so I love shrimp. Like, I'm imagining Arob demolishing one of those little cocktail things of shrimp. Adoptive grandma used to serve those at NYE and I loved those. One time though I bit into one and I was just like this is either super freezer burned or has been sitting out for a while. Put me off of shrimp for a while. Should have known to avoid 'sensitive' foods there. Grandma was in an accident before I was born and it severely damaged her sense of smell and taste.

your post made me think of that, random.

We were on the island of Okinawa. We were staying with our son in housing on base. We had passes, but we had to be escorted through the gates...so everywhere we went, they had to take us. They pretty much planned where we were going to go, and how long we would be at each place. The two missed flights were probably the EASIEST part of our trip. ;)

Reminded me of the Archer scene where Pam is eating shellfish even though she's allergic....cause, good, yum.
