Random Thoughts 18: The Year of Fire

Just told that a neighbor to where my wife grew up got shot by another neighbor. Her hometown has went almost a year since the last murder or attempt, so it had been on a dry spell.
I got pissed at my alarm clock and threw it away.
It's got two alarms and either can be set to be an alarm or radio. The buttons have never worked very well and in order to do something you are always having to push and hold or not hold multiple buttons.
Today alarm two went off at about 5:30 even though I never use it. Probably got turned on when I was trying to turn off the damn static radio when I somehow turned it on last night while just trying to turn the darn thing on to ring in the morning.
I hit the stop button which somehow also functions as a snooze button in some sort of way. (It has a snooze bar as well) and I couldn't get the stupid snooze to turn off so I just unplugged it. I was going to reset it but as normal none of the damn buttons would do anything so I said screw it, unplugged it and took it to the trash being that today is trash day.
I assume Satan had a part in designing that clock

I had a clock radio something like that as a kid. Used to listen to the top 40 countdown many a night as I went to sleep
I just received a like for something I wrote over 12 years ago - and the thread wasn't even bumped.
Oh wait - someone recently linked an old thread - maybe that sent someone down memory lane...
Tonight is start of festivites for my 25 year high school class reunion. A party tonight at a classmate who has a place in the country. A BBQ lunch tomorrow at a local park in town, and not sure what is scheduled for Sat. evening.
So pumped as I don't many of these people outside of reunions. This something to charge up my mental health battery. So many good friends in my class.

This just our class doing stuff although we picked this weekend because it's the alumni reunion weekend for any class with a reunion having ending in 5's and there is a dinner for that.
Not going to that because I don't want to hang out with people I never went to school with.
I actually have a little of several. Started Makita, switched to Hitachi (Metabo HTP), then wanted Milwaukee what where I buy my stuff has 5x the dewalt tools so I went with that.
