Random Thoughts 16: “Somebody had to do it” edition

Had a septoplasty on Monday and this is the most uncomfortable I've ever been. Sinuses feel full because of the splints and all I want to do is blow my nose really hard, but I'm not allowed.

Commiserations. At least you can walk to the bathroom!

No stick shift in our drivers ed. I learned to drive a stick in a buddy's 1960's era pickup with three on the tree on ice covered roads. That was a trial by fire.

I'm mobile so I'm thankful for that. Sleeping upright the past couple of nights have been terrible though.

Don't even talk to me about sleeping! Trying to find a good position for my leg (can't sleep on my back) while simutaneously protecting it from cat traffic is a *****. Add to that having to get up every 2 hours to ride my scooter to the bathroom...well, you get the picture!

Fixing a deviated septum so it is a type of rhinoplasty, but not a cosmetic one.

I believe Jennifer Aniston said that she needed surgery for a deviated septum.

I doubt if that happens much since the dude is a body builder.

Not a big fan of the distortions that body builders crave. And when they get older and can no longer keep up the regimen, all that muscle begins to atrophy, and their bodies begin to resemble mine.
