I've mentioned it a few times but I think on both ends of the floor, this team is at its best when it's patient and that will be important tonight.

That doesn't mean they can't have a good pace and score quickly. Just without forcing things.

I didn't see all of Saturday so it feels like it's been a long time since the last game.

I think it'll be closer than we think... averages will balance out from shooting last game, so I'll go with 73-63.

Hot Take: Conditt has more minutes tonight than Jacobsen.

West Virginia is not nearly as bad as people make it out to be.

Sure, there are rural hellholes -- like any state.

If you like the outdoors, and I have had a lot of fun in West Virginia hiking, on ski slopes, white-water rafting, and I am sure the hunting and other activities are top-notch for the eastern part of the country, you not going to do much better. The place is gorgeous.

I'd love to have Lewis, Zion, Conditt and Talley all play at least five minutes. Talley had his best game of the season last year and destroyed the press

ISU - 90
WV - 72

Now that I live here (WV), I would absolutely agree. My wife and I lived in several places (IL, CA, OR, WA, and MN) and visited several others (ie CO, AZ, NM, NV, TX, and NC) before settling in WV. I can say, unequivocally, it's the most beautiful place we've lived. While apprehensive at first, I see past the 'back country' persona because inside they're all really decent hard working people. We're close to Snowshoe, the Greenbrier, the Homestead, and the Greenbank Observatory. While plenty rural, those places are all class.

That said, when it comes to fandom, there's no one better than Iowa State. Clearly, the best fans anywhere.

My wife's maternal side is from Huntington. Great place to visit -- along with the requisite trips to Morgantown to watch our Cyclones live on a day-trip.

Glad to see Chris Williams has changed his tune and now predicting a Cyclone victory. He was the only one to pick Ole Miss over the Cyclones.

Do khaal and Fitzy not count?

Your guys' prediction is a lot more optimistic than I am. West Virginia always gives us fits. I know they are not what they normally are, but I am still nervous. I know WV has not pressed as much as in recent years, but I wouldn't be surprised if they changed it up against us. Could be another high turnover game like against Ole Miss. If this happens, could be a rough night because i doubt we shoot 70% again.

think our gaurds can handle theirs

77-45 Iowa State.

This team is trash. Terrible coaching. Terrible recruiting.
Really? I know it’s a down year but Hugs has been there 10 years and made the Sweet 16 five times.
I hate his style of play but I’ve never questioned him as a coach.

Are players turning on him?

When you build a team around Konate and knew you would struggle a bit due to graduation and then Konate goes down this is what you get. After what our team went through last year I am not going to be too hard on Huggins for it.

I will just be hard on him for the **** thuggery "basketball" that he has his teams play.

It isn't so much as Huggins as it is him holding onto assistants who are past their prime. The program needs new, younger blood on the bench but Huggs is too loyal to give them the boot.
