Does anyone know if the committee intentionally tries to set up potential "dramatic" matchups? For example, ISU vs Iowa? I really don't want to be in their bracket. While it would be sensational to knock them out, the thought of them knocking us out and that being Georges last game is sickening.

This is a solid question. Answer: The selection committee likes to pit teams together with a story line in the first couple rounds. As for rematches of opponents during the regular season and then playing in the 2nd round (used to be 1st round) there is a rule against that. But they may play in the following rounds.

The Round of 64 will be called the first round again this year.

This texas game will be very telling, dominate and we finish strong to a 3-4.
Collapse and we're 8-9. Don't see anything in between.

Totally agree on the Texas game being huge beyond the TCU game we could be looking at losing 3 out of the next 4 and were looking at a 8-9 seed if we dont get the ship going in the right direction today. I dont think were in risk of falling out of the tourney but we'll really limit our chance of success in it if we dont get at least a 5 seed.

Looks like it will be a 4 or 5 seed with an outside chance at a 3 seed. Don't see us falling to a 6 seed unless several of the teams. below us have strong weeks. Interesting to see some of the extreme predictions a few weeks ago.

I would say 5, with a chance for higher if we win 2 or more in KC. I don't see how we would fall to a 6.

I think Lunardi has us as a 4 seed, if we were to win 2 in the big12 tournament I dont see anything lower than that?

A 5 seed would be fine.

It's a 10 (11) loss team that struggles late in games, so could be seen as generous, although maybe the 'parity' of college basketball has an impact.
