Interesting, KCCI reporting Pollard didn't ask for a raise and it's basically just an years extension.

I don't think many AD's would do that but he knows money is probably still a little tight from COVID.

I imagine the Alvarez retirement had something to possibly do with this?

I didn't think Pollard wanted to leave ISU and signing the extension now validates that thought. If he was looking I could see with his WI connections would make it a ideal landing spot. If nothing else Pres Wendy probably saw the announcement of Alvarez leaving and sped up the discussions.

Jamie has done a good job so far especially navigating Conference Armageddon and subsequent GoR. It was important to keep him right now due to his good relationship with Campbell, Otzburger and Dresser. I know some have questions some of his moves but now isn't the time to mess with those coaches and bring in a new boss.
