Poll: ISU -12.5 vs Baylor

Iirc Iowa state is 3-1 this year with our only lose against ND. Fingers crossed and knocking on wood we can repeat 2017 where we were 11-1 against the spread.

This. Saw a stat that since roughly since the start of the Campbell era, ISU/BU has been decided by avg of 7 pts. It sucks to BU as always, but I'd take them to cover, ISU to win by 7-10

This point spread seems about right. We should beat Baylor in Ames by 12 to 14 points on average this year. Our problem is always going to be that we are not so much more talented than other conference teams that we can have an off day and still win. It's going to be windy, so there could be some interceptions, some muffed punts in this game. A defender falls down and a receiver is wide open. We are just two or three mistakes away from losing a game like this. But, avoid those and we likely win. Not knowing is what makes the game highly anticipated and interesting.

I think our offense gets out to a fast start, but I think theirs does too. Relatively high scoring game at half (something like 24-21) but our defense makes needed adjustments and final looks something like ISU 38, BU 24

We did go 75 yards with a TD in the first 2 plays of the season, so at least the potential is there.

I think if ISU jumps out to a 17-0, 14-0 type lead, Baylor starts to struggle. Will be really hard to mount any sort of comeback in this environment against this ISU team. After seeing BYU let Baylor back in the game last week CMC isn't taking his foot off the gas in this one.

Thinking blocked punt, flee flicker, punt return, fake punt, reverse, busted coverage, etc. They are in desperation mode and will be rolling the dice and stacking the box.
